Living Emergency: Israel’s Permit Regime In the Occupied West Bank

03 May 2018 18:30 to 20:00

The Pasha Room, American Colony Hotel

Israel's permit regime for Palestinians is one of the world's most extreme and complex apparatuses of population management. Through interviews with Palestinian labourers and their families, Israeli clerks and officials, and archival research, this book reconstructs and explores the institutional framework of this system. At this book launch event, author Dr Yael Berda will be in conversation with Professor Rema Hammami about her findings.

There will be copies of the book to purchase. This is a joint event between the Educational Bookshop and the Kenyon Institute. All are welcome. Please note that the venue is the American Colony Hotel, not the Kenyon Institute.
