CBRL publishes two peer-reviewed international journals, Levant and Contemporary Levant, in addition to the CBRL Bulletin which is the CBRL's annual document of record, and monographs in the Levant Supplementary Series. We post research blog posts on our website written by CBRL grant recipients, trustees and those working in the Levant. Blog guidelines are available here

CBRL Publications

Levant, Contemporary Levant, and the CBRL Bulletin are published by Taylor & Francis.

Archaeological monographs in the Levant Supplementary Series are published by:

oxbow books

It is the intention of the CBRL to make the results of CBRL-sponsored research as widely and freely available as possible, all CBRL publications which are available through the Archaeological Data Service (ADS) once they reach 3 years after publication. This allows CBRL monographs to be that they are readily available for access by the public, and our international colleagues.  As broader access is something to which we should all aspire, we will assume (unless we hear otherwise) that authors are happy for CBRL to go ahead and make volumes in the Levant Supplementary Series older than three years accessible in pdf format through the ADS website from 2015.

Oxbow books have indicated that they do not want us to make monographs accessible in this way until three years have elapsed since initial publication.  This means that while we can send our older volumes to ADS, more recent publications will be sent to the ADS as the three-year period expires.   Your support of this policy is much appreciated.

At present we are only making available in electronic format through the ADS service, those volumes for which pdfs are readily available to us  -  in effect the Levant Supplementary Series with Oxbow.  We may in the future consider scanning some of the older CBRL monographs but wish first to gauge the level of demand for the initial volumes.
