The twenty-third Annual General Meeting of the Council for British Research in the Levant will be held via Zoom on Wednesday 17th November at 4.00 pm followed by an the AGM lecture, also via Zoom. The AGM notice can be downloaded at this link. All members are encouraged to attend and register using this link. The purpose of the AGM is to present the Trustee Annual Report and Accounts, conduct elections and give an opportunity for members to hear about CBRL activities.

This year the AGM lecture will be given by Professor Raymond Hinnebusch, Professor of International Relations and Middle East politics and Director of the Centre for Syrian Studies at the University of St. Andrews, on The metamorphising struggle for Syria: proxy war, sanctions and stalled reconstruction. The lecture is open to all and registration is via this link.
