Our Senior Research and Partnerships Officer, Shatha Mubaideen, has been selected as a member of the National Committee for the Protection of Urban and Architectural Heritage in Jordan.
The committee includes key representatives, including the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, the Director General of the Department of Antiquities, and experts from governmental organisations, academic institutions and the Jordanian Engineers Association. It plays a crucial role in advising on policies, regulations, and initiatives to safeguard Jordan’s urban and architectural heritage, promoting conservation efforts, and ensuring sustainable management of Jordan’s built heritage.
She said: “I’m truly honoured to be part of this committee. This appointment offers significant potential to advance CBRL’s contributions to heritage protection and expand our network of partnerships within the heritage sector.”
Congratulations Shatha!
