The Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL) and the Institut français du Proche-Orient (IFPO) cordially invite you to attend the seventh “Heritage and Archaeology Diwan” Architecture and Urban Heritage, which aims to raise awareness of research in archeology and heritage in Jordan, organised jointly with ACOR and GPIA.
The Heritage & Archaeology Diwan #7 will take place at the
AL-Hussein Technical University on July 22-23, 2023.

About the Diwan:
Since March 2018, many institutions in Jordan such as the CBRL, GJU, GPIA and IFPO initiated an event – “Salon” or “Diwan” or “table ronde” – to increase awareness of research on heritage and archaeology in Jordan. It aims to include students to discuss latest developments and themes in archaeology and heritage practice in association with invited specialists. Suggested topics could be cultural heritage, archaeological studies, conservation, documentation, sites and museums management, architectural and urban heritage etc.

The conference topics are around the following themes:

Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Diwan’s organisers. The presentation should not exceed 10 minutes.

یسرّ جامعة الحسین التقنیة، والمعھد الفرنسي للشرق الأدنى ومجلس الأبحاث البریطانیة في بلاد الشام دعوتكم لحضور المنتدى السابع “دیوان التراث والآثار”-الإرث المعماري والحضري الذي یھدف الى زیادة الوعي بالبحث في علوم الآثار والتراث في الأردن وینظم بالتعاون مع المركز الأمریكي للأبحاث والمعھد الألماني البروتستانتي للآثار.

:عن دیوان
منذ آذار 2018 ، بدأت العدید من المؤسسات في الأردن مثل مجلس الأبحاث البریطانیة في بلاد الشام، والجامعة الألمانیة الأردنیة، المعھد الألماني البروتستانتي للآثار، والمعھد الفرنسي للشرق الأدنى بالتعاون والمبادرة بأنشطة “ملتقى” أو “دیوان” أو “طاولة مستدیرة” وذلك بھدف زیادة الوعي بالأبحاث المتعلقة بالتراث والآثار في الأردن. تتمثل الفكرة، بالتعاون مع المتخصصین المدعوین، من اجل إشراك الطلاب لمناقشة آخر التطورات والمواضیع في علوم الآثار والتراث. وتشمل الموضوعات المقترحة: التراث الثقافي، الدراسات الأثریة، الحفظ، التوثیق، إدارة المواقع والمتاحف، الإرث المعماري والحضري وما إلى ذلك
