Professor Louise Martin is Professor of Zooarchaeology at UCL’s Institute of Archaeology. Her research interests are in human-animal relations in the Middle East and Anatolia during prehistory, with a focus on animal domestication, late Pleistocene hunters, and Neolithic pastoralists. She has led zooarchaeology teams for international projects in Jordan, Anatolia (including the UNESCO World Heritage site of Çatalhöyük), southern Arabia and Iraqi Kurdistan. Louise teaches Environmental Archaeology at UCL, leads the Zooarchaeology Research Laboratory, and co-ordinates the MSc Environmental Archaeology. She is a member of the Research Committee.
