CBRL Amman hosted the IDS Inception Workshop from 25th to 29th November 2024, a workshop for the ‘Reconfiguring Heritage: Present Engagements with Communities’ Pasts for Resilient Futures’ which is a UKRI-funded Future Leaders Fellowship project, led by Dr Sofya Shahab and based at the Institute of Development Studies.
The workshop brought together the project team from IDS, project partners from, Ettijahat – Independent Culture (Beirut), the University of Duhok (Duhok), and CBRL (Amman), and peer researchers from Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, for five days of project management planning and training in research methodologies.
The workshop included an overnight excursion to Wadi Rum on Saturday 30th November and a visit to Um-Qais in northern Jordan on Sunday 1st December.
The project team led the workshop with creativity, innovation and sharing of experiences to enable participants to express themselves. Participants discussed, debated, and exchanged knowledge.
